Abstract:To supplementary classification and distributions of the tribe Eumenini in China, these specimens of the family Vespidae were identified by the traditional morphological classification method using microscope in reference to the related literature and specimens. The results showed that the genus Ischnogasteroides Magretti, 1884, belonging to Eumenini, is newly recorded in China. The characteristics of this genus are as follows: T1 is very long and narrow; the anterior part of the second metasomal segment is stalk-like; the tegula is usually scattered with large punctures. And the subspecies Ischnogasteroides picteti tenuis is firstly recorded from China and described in detail with illustrations. The distribution of the Eumenini in China is updated, and keys to Chinese genera of the tribe Eumenini and to all known species of the genus Ischnogasteroides are provided. The results above indicated that they contributes to the further taxonomical review of the Eumenini and better utilization of these insects.
