Abstract:For the Signorini problem, an efficient element-free Galerkin method is proposed to solve this problem. First, the projection iterative method is employed to handle the Signorini boundary. Then, the element-free Galerkin method is used to discretize the problem, and the convergence of the method is analyzed. Finally, the effectiveness and convergence order of the method are demonstrated through numerical examples. Combining the advantages of meshless method and the projection iterative method, this method provides a reliable numerical approach for solving the Signorini problem .
